About me

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Biostatistics at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (JHU), working with Prof. Aki Nishimura and Prof. Michael Rosenblum.

I obtained my Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Milano-Bicocca in 2026, and I was a Visiting Graduate Researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) under the guidance of Prof. Sudipto Banerjee, with whom I continue to collaborate.

My research interests lie at the intersection of Bayesian Statistics, Spatial and Spatiotemporal Statistics, Bayesian Transfer Learning, Large-scale Statistical Modeling, Scalable Bayesian Computation, and Statistical Learning. My work focuses on developing statistical models and computational methods for high-dimensional, multivariate, and large-scale data, with applications in geospatial, spatiotemporal, and health-related domains.

During my studies I had various work experiences: a curricular internship taken at a branch of the REMAX group (Real Estate) in the province of Varese as Corporate & Data analyst (2018), an internship at Rapelli SA (Food & Beverage) in Ticino (CH) as Data Analyst (2019) and finally an internship at CyberGON (Cyber Security) as Security Architect & Data Scientist (2021).

Through these academic and professional experiences, I have developed a strong interest in the theoretical, methodological, and computational aspects of statistics. Throughout my Ph.D. journey, I have focused on developing statistical methods for complex data problems while building international research collaborations and working with researchers across different areas of statistics.
